As a church, we encourage you to stand firm in the truth found in God's Word.  May you be blessed by the reading of His Word and may it draw you closer to know Him.

Where Will You Spend Eternity? Heaven or Hell?

posted Aug 2, 2012, 9:45 PM by Toxic Dawger

"Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon."  -- Isaiah 55:6-7

If you were to die today, do you know where you would spend eternity?  Would it be in heaven or hell?  The words of Isaiah are a great reminder that God is calling out every day for people to draw near to Him.  Each day we have is an opportunity to come near to God -- to put away our cell phones, internet, and numerous distractions and truly turn to God. Don't let today pass without turning to Him.  It doesn't matter your past, God can forgive any of our sins if we turn to Him. Find out more about God...read the Bible for yourself to understand...seek Him out, while He may still be found.  We only have so much time left in this life...and we are never guaranteed a tomorrow.

May God bless you as you continue to read/study His Word.

Verse of the Week - What Is God's Will For Me?

posted Jul 24, 2012, 8:40 PM by Toxic Dawger

"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not put out the Spirit’s fire; do not treat prophecies with contempt. Test everything. Hold on to the good. Avoid every kind of evil."  I Thessalonians 5:16-22

These verses are a great reminder for just a few of the ways God desires us to live our lives.  We are to be joyful, prayerful, and continually giving thanks to our God in all circumstances.

Are you living a joyful/prayerful life today?  Are you living a life giving thanks to God in all your circumstances (both good and bad)?

May you be blessed as you consider the Word of the Lord.

Verse of the Week -- Are You On the Narrow Path?

posted Jul 18, 2012, 8:51 PM by Toxic Dawger

"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." -- Matthew 7:13-14

Jesus said this in Matthew 7:13-14.
Which road are you on?  The wide road?  Or the narrow road?  If you're on the wide road, we encourage you to start turning to God, and draw near to Him.  Each day we have is an opportunity to know the Creator more and more.

May you be encouraged to know Him more!

God bless!
