Our Pastor

Pastor Mark & Arrie Benson

My wife, Arrie and I met in high school and were married in 1967 halfway through my four year tour with the United States Marine Corps.  The Lord blessed us with two daughters who gave us 6 wonderful grandchildren and two wonderful sons-in-law.  I came to know the Lord in 1973 and Arrie was saved in 1965.

We were blessed with a great church in Bayonne, N.J. and through the faithful teaching and fellowship of the saints we were excited to serve in the local body and beyond.  I attended Northeastern Bible College in 1975 and enjoyed the teaching and the staff members around the wonderful Word of God.  In 1977 we were challenged into foreign service with New Tribes Mission and in 1980 left for Senegal, West Africa.  We were able to serve in the Manjack tribe for several years but because of the harsh environment I was plagued with bad health and had to returned to the United States in 1984.  We then were able to serve the Lord at New Tribes Bible Institute from 1985 through 1994 before entering into a church ministry.

We have been in the Pastorate since July of 1994 and are thankful to the Lord for the growth and challenges that He has brought into our lives.  We cannot express enough the deep joy that the Lord has blessed us with through the many years of serving with the saints.  We pray that He will continue to use us and our family to grace the lives of both the saints and those who need Him for many years to come.
